Illustrations

Technical illustrations are technical graphics. These can mainly be found in technical documentation, such as in instruction manuals, installation guides and maintenance instructions as well as catalogues, brochures and flyers.

Technical illustrations serve to visualise technical objects and explain a product or a process. Visualisations can complement or replace text. These graphics help the user understand the description much more quickly.

Nowadays, most technical illustrations are based on 3D data or 3D visualisations. This has the added benefit that changes can be made relatively quickly and easily.
