Illustration

A technical illustration is designed to show an object or describe a circumstance involving the object. The user’s needs always take precedence – only the most important elements for the description are shown and highlighted. Details are shown more simply and less important elements can be completely left out, whereas a photo would contain all elements equally and could distract or confuse the viewer.

For each type of description, there is the appropriate type of technical illustration.

An instruction manual shows how to use a machine or a device – illustrations show the exact elements being referred to, the exact position of attachments and the most important safety guidelines.

With installation guides, the object can be shown complete and ready for use. This makes an easy reference point for the ideal goal of the installation
